The iPhone 8 Plus, announced by Apple on September 12, 2017, alongside the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, was a larger variant of the iPhone 8 with additional features. It became available for pre-order on September 15, 2017, and officially released on September 22, 2017. Here are key features of the iPhone 8 Plus:

1. Design and Display:
The iPhone 8 Plus shared the design language of the iPhone 8, featuring a glass back for wireless charging and a 5.5-inch Retina HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

2. A11 Bionic Chip:
Similar to the iPhone 8, the iPhone 8 Plus was powered by the A11 Bionic chip, offering improved performance and energy efficiency.

3. Wireless Charging:
The iPhone 8 Plus supported wireless charging using the Qi standard, allowing users to charge the device by placing it on compatible wireless charging pads.

4. Dual-Lens Camera System:
One of the standout features of the iPhone 8 Plus was its dual-lens rear camera system.
The dual-lens setup included a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens, providing optical zoom at 2x and digital zoom up to 10x.
The dual-camera system also supported the "Portrait" mode with improved depth-of-field effects and Portrait Lighting for enhanced portrait photography.

5. Portrait Mode and Portrait Lighting:
The iPhone 8 Plus introduced Portrait Mode, allowing users to capture photos with a shallow depth of field for a professional-looking background blur.
Portrait Lighting provided various lighting effects for portrait photos, enabling users to adjust the lighting after capturing the image.

6. True Tone Display:
The iPhone 8 Plus featured a True Tone display, adjusting the screen's color temperature based on ambient light conditions for a more natural viewing experience.

7. Stereo Speakers:
Like its smaller counterpart, the iPhone 8 Plus featured stereo speakers for enhanced audio quality.

8. iOS 11:
The iPhone 8 Plus shipped with iOS 11, introducing various software improvements, augmented reality capabilities, and a redesigned Control Center.

9. Storage Options:
The iPhone 8 Plus was available in two storage capacities: 64GB and 256GB.

10. No Headphone Jack:
Similar to the iPhone 7 Plus, the iPhone 8 Plus did not include a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. Users were encouraged to use wireless headphones or the Lightning port.

11. Fast Charging:
The iPhone 8 Plus supported fast charging, allowing users to charge the device to around 50% in approximately 30 minutes using the appropriate power adapter.

12. Water and Dust Resistance:
The iPhone 8 Plus maintained the IP67 water and dust resistance rating, providing protection against immersion in water up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) for 30 minutes.

The iPhone 8 Plus was appreciated for its larger display, advanced camera capabilities, and the inclusion of features like Portrait Mode and Portrait Lighting. It served as a high-end option for users who preferred a larger form factor with additional photography features.
